Koala portrait magenta print on canvas
Did you know that the beautiful Koala is declared as endangered in several states of Australia? It is also unique to Australia and is a totem for many First Nation people, totems are a very significant part of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and identity. The name Koala is derived from the Dharug name for the animal, which translates to ‘no drink’. Given that these cute and cuddly creatures famously mostly hydrate themselves with gum leaves. They need protection and support now! Some of the biggest threats for these amazing creatures are wildfires, habitat loss though logging and land clearing for development! We want to bring awareness to some of these threatened species from around the world. This art work has been created for Wild Parrots and Co and you can only find it here!
